SAP Synchronization Management
Easy, Reliable, and Automated Synchronization of Parallel SAP Development Systems.
More and more companies implement 5-system landscapes in order to minimize the risk of changes affecting their productive SAP systems (see figure). This means adding another release landscape with its own development system (DEV’) and quality assurance system (QAS’) to their traditional 3-system landscape (DEV, QAS, PRD).
Having parallel SAP development systems allows companies to separate their maintenance operations with its short-notice changes from the long-term development efforts involved in new releases. This means new releases can be prepared without jeopardizing the availability of productive SAP systems. The challenge here is to synchronize the release landscape with the maintenance landscape to reflect any changes made and to prevent any errors that have already been corrected during maintenance from finding their way back into production systems once a new release is rolled out.
