Walldorf/Saarbrücken, April 7, 2005. REALTECH (Walldorf) and IDS Scheer (Saarbrücken) concluded the integration of the ARIS PPM into REALTECH’s software solution theGuard! ServiceCenter. The solution enables companies to fully analyze, evaluate and monitor service processes. This results in a comprehensive image of the business process and related IT services and components.
The human factor and the technologies applied are crucial to the performance of business processes. This solution, jointly developed by IDS Scheer and REALTECH, transports this idea to the IT service operation and to the management of complex IT landscapes from a business process point of view. It offers multi-dimensional evaluation and analyses for the monitoring and improvement of internal service processes and their quality.
REALTECH’s theGuard! ServiceCenter is an easy-to-use and integrated service desk solution that includes asset, inventory and event management. The optional component ServiceCenter Warehouse that includes the ARIS PPM augments this service spectrum by the analysis of service processes. In order to achieve this, all events within distributed network and application landscapes are correlated with key performance indicators from service operations. This allows service departments to significantly improve efficiency through the targeted optimization of IT processes on the basis of the available data.
theGuard! ServiceCenter Warehouse visualizes network and server topologies as well as processes within individual applications. Business processes modeled within ARIS can be linked with process relevant transactions and configuration items granting an instant overview of the interaction of all process relevant components and their effects on the individual processes. This opens up the possibility of evaluating weak points and disruptions in the IT infrastructure with respect to their impact on business operations. Consequently, this allows for the optimization of processes and related components. In this, the customer is supported by history data gathered by the products, resulting in greater planning reliability.
