Fowles realised that they could achieve greater control and ensure the system was working at its optimal capacity if they revised their IT system infrastructure by transferring all externally managed applications into the company's internal IT centre. A Senior Consultant, specifically designated for Fowles began by developing a strategy that included a general upgrade ofthe software infrastructure. In the context of a three-month project, Bowles received upgrades and updates to the company's existing SAP solution and laid the foundations for the auction house to operate its IT system in-house in the future.
