Oracle as a mission-critical database

Oracle databases manage application data in terabyte size. Application security, stability and performance are heavily dependent on the availability and throughput of simultaneous access to the database instances.

Oracle – architecture and management requirements

Oracle is a professional RDBMS with corresponding storage units on disks, corresponding processes and memory / cache structures in order to efficiently manage users and their access.

System behavior is determined by the settings of more than 300 profile parameters.

All of these units have to be permanently monitored and analyzed in order to guarantee safe operation and efficient use of existing resources.
