Modeling and monitoring business processes

The business views of theGuard! Business Process Manager allow for the comprehensive and structured visual representation of business processes in what is called business maps. Status information from the IT infrastructure and important process data is analyzed and visualized in real-time by means of rule-based status correlation features. This allows for the easy and quick integration of all types of external process data into business process management activities. This creates a "single point of control" for the continuous monitoring of networks, applications, IT services, and processes.
The integrated root cause analysis helps administrators pinpoint the causes of system problems. Auto relations (VAA technology) enable the immediate identification of the effects of external interruptions on business processes, allowing companies to take appropriate measures right away.

End-to-end monitoring to measure "perceived" response times

Many companies fail to consider one of the most important performance indicators when trying to optimize business processes: their users. The response times of applications have a direct effect on how users will accept these processes, thereby greatly impacting process performance. theGuard! uses what is called GUI bot systems to objectively measure these performance indicators as well. Acting as "artificial users, these bots are positioned in those areas of different workstations that are also used by actual users to perform typical user transactions. They periodically measure and objectively assess response times from a user's perspective.

SLA management and service trees

theGuard! Business Process Manager helps streamline business processes and performance indicator systems by generating periodic reports. It is very easy to apply service level agreements (SLAs) to the company's processes. The "service level trees" module provides visibility into the status of a company's SLAs, business processes, and performance indicators.
