Study sees REALTECH as a premier choice for SAP customers
Walldorf, June 08, 2016 – The SAP technology partner REALTECH was ranked 4th among Germany's best providers of IT and enterprise service management (ESM) services. This is evidenced by a recent study by the independent research and consulting firm Research in Action (RIA), in which more than 500 IT budget managers in German companies were surveyed. What's more, REALTECH is the number one choice for SAP customer according to RIA analyst and author of the study Dr. Thomas Mendel.
REALTECH's Managing Director Peter Weisbach: "We are very happy with our ranking. It shows that our realignment towards enterprise service management is meeting the demands of the market." REALTECH relies on a combination of SAP expertise, many years of IT service management experience, and the fact that it is based in Germany to focus on Germany's medium-sized enterprises and to support them on their path to a service-oriented organization.
Among the most important trends cited are the replacement of outdated help desk implementations, the growing number of CMDB projects, and the increasing adoption of automated solutions, which greatly facilitates the spread best practices on a large scale. Even companies with a low degree of maturity could get to the next level fast.
A key market trend is the transition from IT service management to enterprise service management. More and more business decision makers are looking to capitalize on the maturity of IT processes to automate manual processes: 51 percent of the companies surveyed are planning to invest in enterprise service management processes within the next five years. As pointed out by RIA analyst and author of the story Dr. Thomas Mendel, however, the ability to obtain relevant IT service management experience is the key to their successful implementation.

Research in Action collected the data of the study "IT and Enterprise Service Management SaaS And Software: The Top 15 Vendors" in the first and second quarter of 2016. 60 percent of the analysis are based on survey results from phone interviews and online surveys of more than 500 IT budget managers, 40 percent are based on analyst forecasts. The selection of the top 15 providers exclusively results from the assessments by the surveyed companies.
